Unusual Solutions For Your Usual Problems
Problem solving is one of the most essential skills in life. Regardless of who you are or what you do, you will face obstacles. How you deal with such challenges will often be a determining factor in how successful you are at life. While problems come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, this article can give you a rough idea of how to solve one in a general sense.
Problem solving is one of those abilities that allegedly distinguishes human beings from other animals. Though many critters can solve problems, and some even use tools, humans are the only creatures that invent new technologies to solve problems.
Love it!
just no…
The skate bike doesn’t belong. I had a version of that as a kid. (They’re actually pretty fun on paved surfaces.)
In Portuguese we call that kind of smartness “desenrascanço”
What the hell is that supposed to be with the blender looking thing and the shoe? It doesn’t look like anything has been broken or fixed, just randomly arranged.
Oh, now I get it, it’s a percolating coffee pot. I guess the stove is broken or they’re out of gas? The shoe’s propping the iron up.
Still, that’s so bizarre.
Article title should be renamed “Lazy Solutions For Your Usual Problems”
That McGyver in the 3rd pic!
Plus the 5th pic is an Art installation.
a computer coolant system that doubles as an electrical safety hazard…GENIUS!
Love it! This stuff all falls under the general classification of ‘duct tape engineering’.
Harry Mulisch is een waardeloze prul
the wiper blade got me! LOL
dummy the shoe and the iron kettle thing is obvious, he,s heating the kettle….i love it!
Love the college kids using duct tape to keep their Keystone in the fridge – reminds me of my apartment
As noted b4; the lego in the wall is art, some guy going around Europe patching up holes with lego bricks, and the carrot one is a recognized stop gap method for plugging containers in an emergency, looks daft but really works. The floating plug extension is the one that made me think wtf!!
Where there is a will, there is a way.

yeh the one with the surge protector in the pool…if you knew anything baout how they work, thats perfectly fucking safe…but too many people are all “LOLELECTRICITYINWATER!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I’ve done the string powered windscreen wipers trick, lol. I had a classic 1954 MG TF and the windscreen wiper failed, so I used the string and the missus for a while until I got it fixed…that was back in 1977.

None of these are lazy solutions at all, except for the one where the bits of wood are propping up a pillar. Due to the fibrousness of wood and the way the grain lays, it will probably work.. but it is still a really dumb idea to be anywhere around it. oh.. yeah, and the electric adapter in the pool… wow…but as for the rest, quite intelligent. I love the lawnmower and the spit roast with the tractor. lol
You can definitely see that some people watched Macguyver back in the day. BTW, the adapter in the pool is not a good idea no matter how safe they are.. one stupid mistake and zap (oops, the flip flop came off). Note how they are nowhere near it in the pool.
The kettle on the iron looks to be a percolator. Looks to me like they’re making coffee.
I actually did the windshield wiper thing back in the early ’80s on my ’72 Chevelle. It was hilarious and worked very poorly.
Clean Water does NOT conduct electricity. it’s when something that can conduct is dissolved/mixed into the water that it becomes conductive. like salt, or soap. chlorine does not conduct
cool.. I like the kettle on the iron one!!
hahah what inventive have the people!!

if more people thought like this there would be a lot less dumps around
Cara, you’re right clean water doesn’t conduct, but the amount of impurities in water makes it conduct. Theoretically, distilled water doesn’t conduct. Any tap water or water in a pool would provide low enough resistance for electricity to conduct.
Stupid is as stupid does. Careful, you only live once. Don’t F&%£ it up.

well done
to cara…um….try sitting in the bath with ‘clean’ water in it and drop a hairdryer in…then tell me ‘clean’ water doesn’t conduct electricity
….on a smartass level ALL things WILL conduct electricity, just a case of how much power you can pump in and make the material take.
“Clean” water most certainly is conductive. Naturally existing water contains more than enough ion forming dissolved minerals and impurities to be extremely conductive. You have to work really hard to remove enough impurities to make water non conductive.
The floating power bar would need to be plugged into a Ground Fault Interrupt to even have a chance of not killing someone. It doesn’t matter how a power bar works…it’s the extension cord leading up to it that will kill you.
That bike is cool, I am going to make one now, lol I think it will work better is the skate board wheels trail behind and the driven wheel is in front

I’ve actually used the duct tape refrigerator shelves myself. What we do for sanity!
Humans rock!!!, hahaha
The colourful corner on the doorway looks like something you see in Morocco. Almost all the doorways I saw in Marakesh and Essaouira were decorated in a similar way.
In New Mexico well call this “ghetto rigging” or “mexico rigging” something
this is the most red neck thing ive ever seen

to clarify, the blender looking thing is a kettle being heated by the iron. the shoe is helping hold the rug folded over. pertty clever, but very stupid.
Plug sockets in the pool ………… now that is scary!
Por Favor! Como me reí con todas esas ocurrencias ajaja.. Muy pero Muy Bueno!
Hay muchas que son dignas de un ingeniero! ajaja
Saludos!

I see this flip-flop-floating-electric-strip as just a way to keep others from wanting to join them in the pool. There is no real indication of the cords being plugged into an electrical source beyond the edge of the pool. Too bad it didn’t discourage the fellow leaning on the edge, since all the water will soon be draining out under his armpits.
Its extremely superb….Following were exceptionally good:
1/ Wipers…
2/ Cycle
3/ Cars…
4/ Wall decoration
5/ Cup holder in car
6/ Mixer
7/ AC and Beer bottles
But, Spike guard in pool, that too floating in a rubber slippers…very scary…hahaha
